Phosphobacteria is
an essential biological agent required for plant growth |
Phosphorous is required for the essential activities of food synthesis, flower formation,
fruit setting. Phosphorous nutrition is absolutely essential for the cell reproduction and
growth of shoot and root |
| |
| Role of Phosphobacteria |
| |
| The bacteria, which
dissolves the undissolved form of phosphorous is called phosphobacteria. The organic acids
and enzymes produced by phosphobacteria dissloves the insoluble (fixed) form of
phosphorous in soil and make it available to plants. |
| |
| Benefits of Phosphobacteria Application |
|
- The insoluble form of phosphorous is
dissolved and made available to crops. Due to this, crops grow well and produce more
flowers, fruits and grains.
- It helps to reduce nearly 25 percent of
phosphatic fertilizer input to crops.
- Combined application of Rhizobium and
Phosphobacteria enhance the nodule formation in leguminous crops and also the nitrogen
fixation is increased.
- Phosphobacterial application in paddy
increased the gain yield by 200 to 500 kg/ha.
